About
Colgate International Community, commonly known as (CIC), is a student-run organization that represents the international community on campus. CIC welcomes students from any nationality who are interested in representing their culture and spreading it throughout campus. CIC strives to smoothen the adaptation process most international or multicultural students go through.
Mission
"The CIC mission statement is twofold – to educate the Colgate community about the World’s cultures, and to bring together and provide support for the international students at Colgate."
CIC Positions:
- President: Organize and plan meetings, design projects for CIC, increase CIC’s attendance and ultimately promote CIC’s mission.
- Vice-President: Help the president in organizing and planning, take care of meetings when president is unavailable.
- Secretary: Take notes of weekly meetings. Map out projected events and calendars. Keep track of assigned duties for current event. Manage CIC’s emails and communicate with publicist for uploading weekly minutes.
- Event Coordinator: Take care of logistics included in planning an event, money matters, liaison with other groups on campus.
- Publicist: Advertising, taking pictures of events, managing the website and creating posters for an event.
